Elevate your craft brewery with the dual-purpose versatility of Pilgrim (UK) hops.
A standout variety developed at HRI Wye, Pilgrim is a fantastic hop that functions as both a powerful bittering agent and a sophisticated aromatic addition. It provides a traditional English bitterness that serves as an excellent foundation for classic Bitters and Pale Ales, delivering a round, full-bodied character that perfectly complements darker malt profiles.
Visual & Sensory Profile:
Our Pilgrim hops are supplied as high-density pellets, processed by removing stems and compressing the hop cones for maximum longevity and alpha acid concentration. These pellets are vacuum-sealed in specialized aluminum packaging to preserve their refreshing ‘hoppy’ aroma, which features distinct notes of spices, cedar, and honey, driven by high levels of humulene and selinene.
- Dual-Purpose Performance: High Alpha Acids (10-12%) for efficient bittering alongside refined aromatics.
- Traditional English Identity: The ideal choice for authentic British styles, providing a cleaner and rounder finish.
- Pellet Efficiency: Use approximately 10% less compared to whole cones for the same alpha impact; stays fresh longer in storage.
